When designing any effective lower body workout program, deadlifts should be a main component.
The deadlift movement is going to really allow you to build up a great deal of strength, stimulate the metabolism to a maximum extent, as well as crank up the whole intensity of your workout program.
Regardless of whether you’re looking to lose fat or build muscle, the deadlift should be there.
Tweaking the Deadlift for Better Results
Now, that said, if you want to really push the results you get from doing the deadlift that much further, try this minor tweak.
If you are currently using fairly large plates when doing your stiff-legged deadlifts, switch to smaller ones.
If you’ll notice, when you use larger plates, you’re not going to get as great of a range of motion as you move throughout the movement due to the fact the plate will stop you when it hits the ground.
When you make the adjustment over to a small plate, the barbell can effectively move closer to the floor, thus increasing the range of motion you travel through.
These last few inches may not seem like all that much, but it’s those last few inches that are going to make all the difference when it comes to getting good glutes compared with amazing glutes.
Don’t kid yourself – this small change will offer a world of difference.
