Quick Fat Loss Tip – Boost The Flavor of Plain Oatmeal Instantly

When on a weight loss diet, let’s face it, the food can get bo-ring.

Chicken breast after chicken breast, plates or rice, baked potatoes, and enough green vegetables you might want to consider growing your own garden, your tastebuds are likely craving some flavor.

One of the biggest reasons people don’t succeed on their weight loss diet program is due to the fact that they aren’t satisfied with their food, thus they fall off the wagon, eating food that they should definitely not be.

The easiest way to overcome this then is by finding simple ways to add more flavor to the foods that are on the menu. This will help you stick with the course when your tastebuds are thinking otherwise.

Today’s target, that morning bowl of oatmeal that you struggle to get down.

Oatmeal is a terrific breakfast option as it’s filled with dietary fiber, low in calories, offers very little sugar (assuming you aren’t adding any), and even provides more protein than many other breakfast cereal options.

But, blah. It’s fairly flavorless if you’ve ever had it plain. So, how can you spice it up?

Here are some ideas.

  • Spinkle on some cinnamon and brown sugar Splenda
  • Stir in one scoop of your favorite protein powder
  • Add in some unsweetened applesauce (or get really fancy and bake your own apple slices to add)
  • Mix in some natural peanut butter
  • Consider adding pumpkin spice if you enjoy that flavor
  • Prepare using milk rather than water
  • Drizzle over some sugar free maple syrup, or any other flavor of sugar-free syrup

So, as you can see, oatmeal doesn’t have to mean boring.  There are plenty of ways to add more flavor without adding a significant number of calories.

Tomorrow morning, give your bowl of oatmeal another try.  It is definitely a good food to have on your fat loss diet, so one you should strongly consider.
