Three Hunger Busting Foods That Help With Faster Fat Loss

When you’re on a fat loss diet, hunger can sometimes seem so uncontrollable that your pantry door looks appetizing.

If this describes you right now (and please refrain from eating that pantry door – last time I checked wood doesn’t have a whole lot of nutritional value), then your best bet is to start incorporating more foods in your diet that will get and keep hunger levels under control.

By doing so, you’ll have fewer cravings, fewer binges, and dieting will just be a much more tolerable process (since, let’s face it, dieting is rarely enjoyable so we can’t go quite that far).

Now, the important thing to keep in mind here is that when on a fat loss diet, you have a limited supply of calories to ’spend’. Once those are spent, you are broke and you need to decide whether to curtail your spending (eating) or go into debt (gain weight).

Because of this, the more foods you can eat that will give you the best ‘bang for your buck’, the further your diet is going to go.

Here are three hunger busting foods that you should really keep on your radar.

Cottage Cheese

While cottage cheese may look as tasty as that pantry door mentioned earlier, it is a fantastic food to be eating when your aim is faster fat loss.

It is made of a certain type of protein – casein, which travels through the body really slowly, keeping you feeling full, satisfied, and happy (ever been around a hungry dieter? It ain’t pretty).

Do try and eat the 1% variety to keep fat levels down (skim cottage cheese is not something I’d recommend you subject your taste buds to) and if you’re on a sodium reduced diet, you may want to opt for a reduced sodium version as well.

Vegetable Soup

Vegetables. Nothing screams diet more than those. But, like it or not, they help you out. And when it comes to standing on that scale and seeing the weight you want staring back up at you, you’ll be happy you decided to include them on your plate, or in this case, bowl.

Soup, since it’s a hot liquid, tends to be more hunger blunting, so try and consume it regularly. What’s more is that the broth will help keep you hydrated and we already know you probably have a few glasses of water debt to work off.

Vegetables. Learn to make friends with them.

Nuts

Nuts are a double-edged sword as they are very calorie dense so a few too many handfuls will mean trouble for your fat loss diet program. On the flip side though, they are fantastic and controlling hunger, provided you eat them before you’re already starving.

Since fat takes longer to digest and signal to the body that you’re feeling full, eat them when you hit about a six or seven on a hunger scale of zero to ten (ten being your furry family pet better watch out).

This will ensure that you aren’t going to get out of control with food choices before those nuts have a chance to influence their hunger-busting power.

So, give some very good consideration to these three foods. Try and include at least one of them each day you’re on your diet.

While you don’t always have to be 100% perfect on your diet, you do need to take steps to avoid blood sugar fluctuations and rebound hunger if you hope to be successful at the game of weight loss.
